The genome of different organisms does not reflect its complexity. It is the protein-protein interactions (PPIs) network which determines its complexity and responsible for vast range of cell processes.
As part of signal transduction, proteins interact with one another and with other biomolecules in the cell.
Research in the lab is focused on molecular level mechanism of PPI interactions. We aim to understand the structure-function relation of PPIs and to develop new inhibitors as the basis for promising therapeutics.
The research is multidisciplinary by nature dealing with computational chemistry, biophysics and molecular and cellular biology tools.
